November 15th, 2017 - Symetry
Update #4 - Playing a bit with the symmetry of a 77 index in the upcoming GemSuite Modeler as I put the finishing touches on the classic cutting method, before adding the parametric "meet points". Yes, I've been super busy building the software since the last update. Most of the main program (the core of the system) is done and tested. After some preliminary optimization, my elderly Mac Mini G4 (ten years old!) moves the 3D view in real-time with power to spare (and I still have optimization to do). I also worked around several pitfalls in the scanning soft (not shown here) to allow better manual correction of the 3D mesh if needed. Hopefully the beta-testers will try the first version very soon!
