September 19th, 2018 - Soon, we'll be free, soon...Thanks everyone for the sweet Birthday messages :) It's been a busy day : between the post office to send mail, retrieving a parcel for the Missus, running to the scrap yard to buy a hefty load of thick angle iron to build a half-decent sheet metal brake (yeah baby!) and get more metal for my still-in-progress bandsaw sawmill (Paul, Mads, Ken, you guys remember when I started that one? Jeez time flies!), repairing my car's back door lock (down to the guts, yeah, not funny), cleaning the interior a bit, mowing grandma's garden (who, incidentally, totally forgot about my birthday... ninety-eighters, right?), moving heavy lumber around, and, jeez I can't remember everything else but it's been a very busy one. I haven't opened the gift from my parents, but since I chose it I know it's a hefty drilling machine, one that can bore 1 meter deep holes into the ground, 20 centimeters wide. Not yet a miner's drilling machine, but it's a good starting point to rebuild the fencing and dig my way to Australia ;) Still preparing the "car" for the upcoming move away from Paris. I can't wait to get my lady back from the inlaws' (she's enjoying well-deserved holidays after a hectic year!), and to escape together out of the unbearably insane place that Paris has turned out to be in a handful of years.
