December 4th, 2019 - Mineral data in GemSuite Scanner!
After over six months of work, doubt, despair, interface changes and data importation, here's the final version of the tip of the iceberg : mineral input in GemSuite Scanner.
Because all gemstones are NOT isotropic, and you can definitely use the knowledge of the direction of the optical axis of uniaxial materials in order to make the most out of their properties when designing for a particular mineral in Modeler.
Next : scripting of the interface elements that allow to define the optical axis (uniaxials) within the captured pictures, to then have it imported as a 3D axis in Modeler. That part will be really fast, for a change.
