Prototyping for the GemScanner, while new parts are delivered dropwise... ¯üôÑ
The planetary stepper slider at left never worked (despite working coils), and it can't be opened and put back together, which sucks for maintenance. Let's see if this other design at right, which can be opened and manually unlocked if needed, performs as expected...
