More hardware delivered, as the post tries to ketch^H^H^H catch up with delayed parcels : these are the best compromise I found for the vertical axis of the gem scanners (dop axis), in both precision, robustness (all metal gears) and cost-effectiveness. The electrovane is a late sample that won't do the cut, and the rack (out of a pack of ten) is a model destined to several uses in both scanner models. Did I mention how long it takes to develop hardware, from concept sketch, through parts evaluation, to prototyping, until there is a finished product? ―ότΡ
