July 10th, 2022 - working on the world map display block
Well at great last some visible progress on the software, it took me ages to get to something that can be shown 😅 This is the world map block, that will be used in several modules of GemSuite : from the localities for a given mineral (in the generic mineral explorer), through the general location of one's contacts (in the Community module, location will be rounded up to the city level, privacy and security issues, you know) up to the travel of a piece of rough from the mine (if known) through the broker(s), via the cutter(s), to the jeweler(s). Yeah the system I'm setting up will be loaded with nice-to-have features, with room for everyone in the industry.
Bear with me, it's still a long, hard road, but for the first time in over two years, I've stayed for >2 hours at the computer, coding. Slowly getting back to full speed, with most of the workshop ready now.
